The three larger recreation areas in Milton are managed by the “Milton Community Centre and Recreation Grounds Management Committee” which is a registered Charity created by Milton Parish Council for that purpose. The three locations which have both indoor and outdoor facilities are on Coles Road, The Sycamores, and North Lodge Park.

Overview of the Facilities
Milton Community Centre (MCC)
The Community Centre is set in over 4 acres of recreational land in the centre of the village, including a Children’s play area, Bowls green, Tennis, football, 5-a-side (33m x 15m) and netball courts with additional facilities at the Sycamores Recreation Ground and North Lodge Park.
As well as hosting numerous clubs and organisations during the week, the facilities are available to hire at weekends for birthday parties and social/fundraising events.
The maximum number of people permitted for events in each of the indoor facilites listed below is governed by fire regulations.
The main Community Centre building comprises multiple rooms including the main sports hall which is also used for larger events and parties –
- Ground floor
- Main Hall – 18m X 16m – 250 people
- Small Hall (with optional bar and kitchen) – 10m x 6m – 60 people
- The main and small halls may be booked together
- First floor (stairs access only)
- Room 1 – 5m x 5m – 20 people
- Room 2 – 9m x 6m inc kitchenette – 60 people
- Rooms 1 and 2 may be combined by opening the concertina wall
There is also a separate single story Annexe building with toilet and kitchen facilities which is ideal for children’s parties with a maximum permitted capacity of 60 people. The main room is 9m x 15m.
The Bowls Pavilion – 6m x 6.5m inc kitchen area – is used primarily by the Bowls Club and Parish Council.

Hire charges are discounted for Milton Residents and for organisations with a clear benefit to the Milton community. Bookings made by residents for other organisations are not eligible for discounted rates.

The Sycamores Recreation Ground includes the pavilion and youth building, as well as football and cricket pitches, basketball court, children’s play area, and outdoor exercise equipment.

North Lodge
The Pavilion at North Lodge is also now available for private parties and other bookings and is located to the north of the village within North Lodge Park. The meeting room is 7m x 6m with a permitted capacity of 40. There is a separate kitchen.
There is also a recreation ground including two Football pitches and a Cricket pitch in the Summer.
Note that the play area and casual pitches are provided and managed by the North Lodge Residents Management group. The equipment on the Children’s play area is for use of all Milton residents.
