382/02 2   Minutes - the minutes of the meeting of  22 July 2002 were approved
           and signed as a true record.


       3   Decisions Received

383/02     J Crickmore  The Stables  Chesterton Fen Road - siting of temporary
(307/02)   chalet accommodation - refused.  
           Conditions: Contrary to Policy SP12/1 of the Approved Cambridgeshire
           Structure Plan 1995, Policy H5 of the Approved South Cambridgeshire
           Local Plan (1993) and Policy SE13 of the Deposit Local Plan (as
           amended 2001) - site is outside village framework for the settlement
           of Milton and in the countryside where erection of new dwellings will
           not be permitted unless essential to efficient operation of local
           agriculture, horticulture and forestry.
           Within the Cambridge Green Belt and contrary to Policy SP18/3 of the
           Structure Plan (1995), Policy GB3/1 of the Cambridge Green Belt Local
           Plan (1992) and Policy GB2 of the Deposit Plan (as amended 2001) -
           restriction of development to purposes of agriculture, outdoor
           recreation and other uses appropriate to a rural area.
           Contrary to Policies SP12/2 of the Structure Plan (1995) Policy C1 of
           the Local Plan (1993) and Policy EN1 of the Deposit Local Plan (as
           amended 2001) - site lies in area of best landscape. Would have an
           adverse effect on the character of the open nature of the landscape. 
           Contrary to Policy CNF6/4 of the Approved  South Cambridgeshire Local
           Plan (1993) and Policy CNF11 of the Deposit Local Plan (as amended
           2001) - normally precludes residential development in Chesterton Fen
           and would create an isolated group of buildings in the open
           countryside and would not preserve the rural character of Chesterton
           Fen.
 
384/02     A West 73 Coles Road - extension.  Noted that this application had
(330/02)   been refused by SCDC Planning Committee.  

385/02     Trinity College Unit 181 Science Park - services compound, covered
(362/02)   cycle racks and 2 roof mounted flues  (including amendment to
           compound) - approved.  Details of landscaping scheme to be approved.

386/02     Ms L Collison 10 Garner Close - extension - approved.  External
(363/02)   materials to be identical to those used for existing building.
           Garage and two car parking spaces to be maintained.

387/02     Mr & Mrs O'Kane  79 Cambridge Road - extension - approved.
(366/02)   External materials to be identical to existing.


       4   New Applications

388/02     S/1672/02/LB Milton Hall Estates Ltd Milton Hall - internal and
           external alterations and replacement of lean-to conservatory by two
           storey office extension - no recommendation.  Glazing should be in
           keeping with the existing;  construction traffic to use main Ely
           Road (not Church Lane) entrance.

389/02     S/1673/02 Milton Hall Estates Ltd Milton Hall - demolition of
           conservatory replacement with permanent office extension - no
           recommendation.  Comments as above.

390/02     S/1719/02 Mr & Mrs AE Dewey 49 Old School Lane - extensions - no
           recommendation.  Any decision should take into account that there
           is a house at number 51 Old School Lane (not shown on location plan).

391/02     S/1738/02 Mr & Mrs Scarborough 5 Coulson Close  - single storey rear
           and side extension - no recommendation.
