Parish Council Finances 2000/2001

Milton Parish Council is committed to following the principle of 'Best Value' i.e."delivering the best service possible to all the inhabitants of Milton in the most cost effective, efficient way".

During 1999/2000 Milton Parish Council spent a total of £102483. The pie chart (below left) shows broadly how this money was spent. Almost £30000 was spent on capital schemes - a basketball court and a multi-use court at The Sycamores Recreation Ground and new play equipment on Coles Road Recreation Ground for the under 8's. This money was taken from reserves - money received for the sale of land for the sheltered housing project. Total income for the year was £77000.

It is hoped that a portakabin can be put up on The Sycamores Recreation Ground for this purpose. Budget figures for 2000/01 show an estimated expenditure of £103750.
