The latest news we have is that the long awaited opening of the new bridge over the A14 will be in May with the official opening date being 18th May. Quoted in Cambridge Evening News our district councillor, Richard Summerfield, said "We have been given a series of opening dates and gone past two. You have to look at it with a certain amount of scepticism. We had various meetings with the Highways Agency and everyone is always very cagey about reasons for the delays."

The Highways Agency has said that any extra costs incurred by the delay will be carried by Mowlem.
