Council met last night. The only planning application considered was for a Chiropractic Practice for the offices in Cambridge Road industrial estate past *World of Computers* on the left. Council made norecommendation on this application.

After a long debate council agreed to pledge £20,000 towards a new Youth Building on the Sycamores and after an even longer and more heated debate agreed the tariffs for the community minibus for this year.

Other issues discussed included the adverts on Tesco's roundabout. Council has annoyed because it maintains the roundabout, not the county council, and it has in the past turned down requests from village companies who want to advertise and sponsor the roundabout. The council had previously agreed to wait until the bridge was completed (whenever that turns out to be!) before deciding what to do with the roundabout. Council agreed to ask the clerk to write in strong terms to the county council about this issue.
