Cambridge Northern Fringe

Written 08/11/00

Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire DC are undertaking a review of their strategy for the Cambridge Northern Fringe.

This is the area to the north of the city whose northern boundary is the A14 and southern boundary is the St Ives line and Kings Hedges Road. The Northern Fringe includes the last substantial reserve of development land not in the Green Belt and some of the land, the redundant sidings, lies within the parish of Milton. How it's developed is important to everyone who lives in or near the city, and especially to the village.

You can find details on the County Council web site at

The councils are also holding a series of exhibitions around the area including one in Milton on Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st (which we'll remind you of nearer the time).

The councils want your views. You can respond online, or by post.

Your parish councillors are also interested in hearing those views too as the parish council will be responding to the review too and need to know they're reflecting the views of the village.
