Parish Council Finances 2002/2003

Milton Parish Council is committed to following the principle of 'Best Value' i.e. "delivering the best service possible to all the inhabitants of Milton in the most cost effective, efficient way".

During 2001/02 Milton Parish Council spent a total of £88,547. The pie chart (below left) shows broadly how this money was spent. The Parish Council continues to support the many sporting, social and leisure activities at the community centre and recreation grounds through its grant of £20,000. Total income for the year was £92,339.

Budget figures for 2002/03 show an estimated expenditure of £87,536.

The Parish Council will receive £69,000 from the Parish's share of the Council Tax for 2002/03. This means that a 'Band D' house is paying £42.41, an increase of 3.5% from last year.
