Cambridgeshire County Council have launched a consultation today on improving the crossing on the A10 junction between Milton and Landbeach for cyclists and pedestrians.
The county council is asking for feedback on two crossing designs. The first involves closing the slip lane to Milton, narrowing the Cambridge bound carriageway and creating a two stage crossing across the A10. The second option is to widen the existing triangular island in the middle of the A10 to create three crossing points. Further information about the options can be found here (Adobe/PDF, 1.4MB).
Both designs include extending the dual footpath and cycleway to the sewage station and Landbeach Road. The improvements follow on from the new £240,000 dual use path built earlier this year between the villages of Milton and Landbeach.
Two public events are taking place, where plans will be on display and the designers available to discuss them. We hope that you will be able to come along and tell us your views:
• 23 September, 4-8pm, Milton Community Centre
• 3 October, 4-8pm, Landbeach Village Hall
An online survey and more detailed information on the scheme is also available here. The consultation leaflet will be distributed to residents soon.
If you have any questions on the proposals, please don't hesitate to contact us using the details below.
