STOPTOBER (Adobe/PDF, 436KB) - the 28-day national stop smoking challenge - is set to return following its launch in October 2012. Stopping smoking for 28 days means you're five times more likely to stop for good and last year over 160,000 people successfully quit in the nation's biggest mass participation stop smoking challenge ever. In Cambridgeshire almost 800 people attempted to quit smoking during Stoptober last year, almost 200 more compared to the year before.
Camquit are a team of professional support advisors who understand that quitting smoking is different for everyone. They can arrange Nicotine Replacement therapies at prescription only cost and for those who don't pay prescriptions these are free. During October they will be holding additional clinics to support residents who want to quit.
