Starting today the Citi 2 bus service is being re-routed to include Milton. This Monday to Saturday service runs from Milton through Chesterton via Green End Road and Chesterton High Street into the city centre at Emmanuel Street. It then continues to Addenbrooke's hospital via Mill Road and the ring road (with a short detour into the Birdwood Road estate).

The return service follows basically the same route except it stops in St Andrews Street rather than Emmanuel Street.

The earliest bus from Milton departs at 06:35, another at 06:55 and they then run "frequently" at approximately ten minute intervals through the day until 18:51. Thereafter they run every half hour with the last bus into town departing at 21:51.

Coming out of town the first bus from the Addenbrooke's departs at 06:50, passing through the city centre at 07:16. The last bus home from the city centre is at 23:03.

What all this means for the current 19/19A service isn't yet clear. That remains a faster service into the city centre, taking a timetabled nineteen minutes rather than twenty five but only runs every half hour. It's also vital if you want to go north to Landbeach, Waterbeach or Ely and beyond.
