WJ Froment
Private 117252 Walter John Froment. Canadian Expeditionary Force.
According to the National Archives of Canada Walter John Froment was born on
30th May 1895 in Milton, enlisted on 1st March 1915 in Calgary, was awarded the
British War Medal and the Victory Medal, and was killed in action on 2nd June 1916 while serving with the 2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles.
He was the son of John and Harriette Froment of High Street. He has no known
grave and his name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial in Belgium.
