Waggon and Horses Licensing Application

Written 27/09/05

Today's hearing at Cambourne was for the Waggon and Horses. This was a lot more straightforward than yesterday. They were applying for public entertainment, indoors, until midnight on any day of the week.

During some early negotiation in the hearing local councillors Richard Summerfield and Paul Oldham asked the applicant if they would consider reducing this to twice a month, Friday or Saturday only, and finishing at 11pm, these being the same conditions the Lion and Lamb have had put on them. The landlord has happy to accept those conditions. This left Paul, speaking for the parish council, with very little to say as the opening hours they were requesting (until midnight) were within those the parish council had agreed to ask for.

Three other people attended but only spoke briefly.

The sub-comittee agreed to the hours the pub was asking for, with the modifications agreed above. You can find the full decision online here (Adobe/PDF, 17KB).
