Witchcraft Death Case Re-Opened

Written 12/01/05

The case of the man whose partially clothed body was found dead in a ditch in Milton in 1996 is being re-opened by Cambridgeshire police. Russell Marsom, a hairdresser from Hunstanton, was found wearing only a denim jacket and T-shirt. The post mortem showed he had drowned and an open verdict was returned by the coroner.

There were suggestions at the time that he may have been involved in some sort of witchcraft ritual. A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said "We have restructured the force and part of the result of the new major crimes unit is to review old cases, including this".
