The parish council discussed the proposed improvements at their meeting on Monday. While welcoming some aspects of it, such as the clear marking of which lane to use for Milton when coming up Milton Road they were concerned about the proposal to have no traffic lights at the Milton entry to the roundabout.

Although this seems attractive initially it seemed to the council that this will inevitably lead to an increase in "rat running" during the morning rush hour as it will seem like a more attractive option that using the bypass.

They were also concerned that the new scheme would not make even worse the problem of people coming onto the roundabout in the wrong direction from the A10, which several councillors had seen happen, as had people at the public exhibition.
