CHARITY BIG BIKE RIDE
The Big Bike Ride charity cycle event is being staged on Sunday 8th July - the day after the Olympic torch arrives in Cambridge. A14 Works
There will be works on the A14 drainage system between junction 26 (St Ives) and junction 34 (Fen Ditton) commencing on the evening of Monday 14 November and will take approximately 12 weeks to complete. BLUE RECYCLING LITTER BIN
Following the successful introduction of the blue bin recycling service, South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) is looking at innovative ways to make it easier for residents to recycle whilst 'on the go'. To that end, SCDC is planning to trial a recycling litter bin in Milton. They hope to place a blue litter recycling bin next to the existing litter bin near the One-Stop store on Cambridge Road. The new litter recycling bin will be clearly labelled with the items that are accepted allowing people to recycle a wide range of materials: Paper; Plastic bottles, film, pots, tubs, trays and bags; Plastic bottle tops and triggers; Glass jars & bottles; Food & drinks cans; Aerosols; Tin foil & foil trays; Cartons (e.g. tetrapak); Cardboard. read more ...
