This page is based on the "What's On In Milton" directory which was first published in 1997. The preface of the last paper edition read as follows:

    This booklet is intended as a guide to all the activities available in Milton. It's not until you read this booklet that you realise what a large number and variety of activities take place regularly in the village and we think that it shows that Milton continues to be a healthy and thriving community.

Inevitably some of the entries in here will become out of date. If you do come across any mistakes, omissions, or anything that needs changing, please let us know.

Information: All people who look after another person's child, who are not a close relative, for more than two hours in any one day, must be registered with social services. This involves practical training, first aid and checks by the police.

There are 8 registered child minders in Milton at present. Most of them know each other, and meet regularly either at each others homes, Toddlers, or school times. The group also has meetings throughout the year at which we discuss ideas, outings, problems etc. Some of the group are working
towards their NVQs in Child Care.
